Diagnosing Trauma
How Is Trauma Treated at Our Center?
At Friendly Recovery Center, we offer a complete and holistic therapy approach to treating trauma. Here are four critical parts of our treatment program:
Therapy
We use different types of treatment, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy, to help you process and heal from traumatic experiences. Group therapy can also provide support and reduce feelings of isolation.
Management
Sometimes, we prescribe medications to help manage symptoms like anxiety or depression. Our medical team closely watches how well the medications work and manages any side effects.
Life Skills Training
We teach practical skills like personal care, stress management, and social skills to help you gain independence and improve your daily life.
Family Support and Education
We educate family members about trauma and involve them in your treatment. Family therapy sessions help families understand the impact of trauma and learn how to support their loved ones.
